अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical ideal of receiving dharma-instruction: the teacher should explain truthfully and completely, and the student should listen with diligence and focused attention—especially regarding the duties (karma) proper to the brāhmaṇa.
Arjuna addresses Vāyu (Māruta/Vāyudeva), expressing joy and appreciation that Vāyu has fully described the remarkable duties of brāhmaṇas, and affirming that he has heard the teaching attentively.
