अनाधृष्य: कुण्डभेदी विरावी चित्रकुण्डल: । प्रमथश्न प्रमाथी च दीर्घरोमश्न वीर्यवान्
anādhṛṣyaḥ kuṇḍabhedī virāvī citrakuṇḍalaḥ | pramathaś ca pramāthī ca dīrgharomā ca vīryavān ||
অনাধৃষ্য, কুণ্ডভেদী, বিরাবী, চিত্ৰকুণ্ডল, প্ৰমথ, প্ৰমাথী আৰু বীৰ্যবান দীৰ্ঘৰোমা।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even seemingly neutral genealogical lists carry ethical weight in the Mahābhārata: names that glorify invincibility and violent prowess hint at a culture of power and prestige. When such power is not restrained by dharma (self-control, justice, responsibility), it becomes a seed of conflict and downfall.
Vaiśampāyana continues reciting to King Janamejaya the names of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s sons (the Kaurava princes). This verse gives a short cluster of names and epithets, part of the larger catalog of the hundred sons.
