या वेदबाह्याः स्मृतयो याश्च काश्च कुदृष्टयः / सर्वास्ता निष्फलाः प्रेत्यतमोनिष्ठाहिताः स्मृताः

যিসকল স্মৃতি বেদ-প্ৰমাণৰ বাহিৰত আৰু যিকোনো কুদৃষ্টিযুক্ত মতবাদ—সেই সকলোকে নিষ্ফল বুলি ঘোষণা কৰা হৈছে; মৃত্যুৰ পিছত সিহঁতে তমসৰ অন্ধকাৰলৈ লৈ যায়, কাৰণ সিহঁত তমোগুণত প্রতিষ্ঠিত বুলি স্মৃত।
