Related Themes: Agni Purana 246 (Vṛkṣāyurveda: seka, lepa, dhūpa, plant protection measures)
It teaches a Vṛkṣāyurveda method: protect newly planted trees from seasonal stress by watering during rainy nights and drought, using cool water fortified with viḍaṅga and ghee as a restorative mixture.
Beyond theology, it preserves practical applied science—horticulture and plant-medicine—showing the Agni Purana as a compendium that includes agronomy-like guidance alongside ritual, ethics, and other vidyās.
Caring for planted trees is treated as a meritorious, dharmic act (upakāra to living beings), supporting prosperity and ecological well-being; such stewardship is traditionally linked with puṇya through protection of life and resources.
