इत्य् आग्नेये महापुराणे स्वर्गपातालादिवर्गा नामोनषष्ट्यधिकत्रिशततमो ऽध्यायः अथ षष्ट्यधिकत्रिशततमो ऽध्यायः अव्ययवर्गाः अग्निर् उवाच आङीषदर्थे ऽभिव्याप्तौ सीमार्थे धातुयोगजे आ प्रगृह्यः स्मृतौ वाक्ये ऽप्यास्तु स्यात् कोपपीड्योः
ity āgneye mahāpurāṇe svargapātālādivargā nāmonaṣaṣṭyadhikatriśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ atha ṣaṣṭyadhikatriśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ avyayavargāḥ agnir uvāca āṅīṣadarthe 'bhivyāptau sīmārthe dhātuyogaje ā pragṛhyaḥ smṛtau vākye 'pyāstu syāt kopapīḍyoḥ
এইদৰে আগ্নেয় মহাপুৰাণত ‘স্বৰ্গ-পাতালাদি-বৰ্গ’ নামৰ ৩৫৯তম অধ্যায় সমাপ্ত হ’ল। এতিয়া ৩৬০তম অধ্যায় ‘অব্যয়-বৰ্গ’ আৰম্ভ হয়। অগ্নিয়ে ক’লে— ‘আ’ অব্যয় (১) ঈষৎ/অল্প অৰ্থত, (২) অভিব্যাপ্তি (ব্যাপ্তি/প্ৰসাৰ) অৰ্থত, (৩) সীমা/মৰ্যাদা অৰ্থত, আৰু (৪) ধাতু-যোগজাত প্ৰয়োগত ব্যৱহৃত হয়। স্মৃতি-পাঠ আৰু বাক্য-প্ৰয়োগত ‘আ’ প্ৰগৃহ্য বুলি গণ্য; আৰু ক্ৰোধ আৰু পীড়া অৰ্থতো ই আহিব পাৰে।
