A practical Ayurvedic-style instruction: ingesting a preparation with jaggery as an adjuvant for disease-alleviation and longevity, plus preparing hibiscus-flower powder into a bolus for use by immersion in water.
It shows the text’s non-sectarian, handbook-like scope by embedding concise medical recipes and preparation methods (simple dosage, vehicle like jaggery, and processing steps) alongside its religious and mythic material—typical of Agni Purana’s wide-ranging, encyclopedic coverage.
Though framed as medicine, the promise of health and longevity aligns with Purāṇic ideals of sustaining the body for dharma-practice; preserving vitality is treated as supportive of righteous living and continued religious observance.
