FAQs

It gives Ayurvedic regimen guidance: bathing helps reduce pitta aggravation, and mild sunlight exposure afterward is considered beneficial; exercise should be undertaken in a safe, measured manner especially when beginning heat-exposure or strenuous work.

Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana preserves practical applied sciences—here, Ayurveda—by prescribing doṣa-based lifestyle rules (snāna, ātapa, vyāyāma) as health maintenance guidance.

While framed as medical guidance, the verse supports purity and steadiness of the body—conditions traditionally valued for sustaining disciplined practice (ācāra), daily duties, and ritual fitness without harm through excess strain.
