Related Themes: Agni Purana 41 (Griha-devata, puja-upachara, stuti)
It gives an invocation formula used in household worship: respectfully inviting an auspicious household deity (addressed as Kāśyapī) to delight in the home after it has been worshipfully prepared and decorated with fragrance and garlands.
Alongside theology, the Agni Purana preserves practical liturgical procedure—how to sanctify domestic space through praise, invitation, and ritual adornment (gandha-mālya), reflecting its wide coverage of ritual, Vastu-like domestic concerns, and mantra usage.
Inviting the auspicious presence to reside happily in the home signifies consecration and protection; worship done with purity and offerings (fragrance, garlands) is framed as generating auspiciousness (bhadra) and stabilizing благополучие/śubha-karman in household life.
