Concept: Mantra-śakti is stabilized through saṃskāra (sprinkling/adhivāsana) and rakṣā (Astra) to preserve ritual purity and efficacy.
Application: Before pūjā, treat ritual items as ‘charged’ supports of devatā-śakti; protect them from doṣa, dṛṣṭi, and vighna via rakṣā-mantras.

It teaches the practical sequence for preparing pavitras for worship: sprinkle with the sampāta oblation, perform adhivāsana (ritual consecration), empower them with the Narasiṃha mantra, and secure them with the Astra (protective) mantra.
It functions like a ritual handbook entry—preserving procedural details (sprinkling, consecration, mantra-empowerment, protective sealing) that align the Agni Purāṇa with temple-pūjā manuals and tantric-ritual technique, illustrating its wide-ranging instructional scope.
Consecrating and protecting ritual implements is presented as ensuring purity (pavitratā), preventing ritual obstacles, and safeguarding the efficacy of worship—thereby supporting merit (puṇya) through correctly performed, protected rites.
