The verse illustrates how Purāṇas construct networks of named tīrthas (associated with sages like Nārada and Vasiṣṭha) and narrate them as a sequence of spiritually efficacious sites.
Vasiṣṭha-kuṇḍa is explicitly named; it is presented as a sacred node within the text’s internal geography.
The emphasis is on progressing through tīrthas with ritual intentionality, treating the landscape as a structured field for disciplined practice.
