The Glory of Varāha’s Rite: Merits of Cow-dung Plastering, Sweeping, Singing, Instrumental Music, and Dance

with a Truth-Vow Exemplum

भक्षयामीति चोक्त्वा मां गीतपुण्यं किमिच्छसि॥ श्वपाकवचनं श्रुत्वा ब्रह्मरक्षोऽब्रवीत्पुनः॥

bhakṣayāmīti coktvā māṃ gītapuṇyaṃ kim icchasi || śvapākavacanaṃ śrutvā brahmarakṣo 'bravīt punaḥ ||

بعد أن قال: «سألتهمك»، فأيُّ ثوابٍ مقدّسٍ من إنشادي تطلب؟ ولمّا سمع البراهماراكشسا كلامَ الشفاباكا تكلّم ثانيةً.
