Varaha Purana 128.60 — Adhyaya 128, Shloka 60

Rites for the comb, collyrium, and mirror; initiations for the four social orders; and the Gaṇāntikā vow/insignia

वृत्तेष्वेवोपचारेषु जलप्राधानिकेषु च ॥ कङ्कतीं चाञ्जनं चैव दर्पणं चैव सुन्दरी ॥

vṛtteṣv evopacāreṣu jalaprādhānikeṣu ca || kaṅkatīṃ cāñjanaṃ caiva darpaṇaṃ caiva sundarī ||

«ومن جملة الخدمات التابعة المقرّرة—وخاصة ما كان الماء فيه هو الأساس—يُستعمل المشط، والكحل (أنجَنَة)، وكذلك المرآة، أيتها الحسناء.»
