sūta uvāca | evaṃ tatra tadā devī śrutvā māhātmyamuttamam | harṣotkaṃṭhitayā vācā punaḥ papraccha śaṃkaram
Sūta
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (context)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and the sages
Scene: Sūta narrates: Devī, delighted after hearing the Prabhāsa greatness, turns again to Śaṅkara with eager, joyful speech to ask further questions.
Reverent listening to a tīrtha-māhātmya naturally leads to deeper inquiry; devotion expresses itself as eager questioning.
The context is Prabhāsa-kṣetra, moving toward the glorification of Somēśvara within that sacred geography.
None directly; it frames śravaṇa (hearing) of māhātmya and the ensuing devotional inquiry.
