yā māṃ drakṣyati suśroṇī mattulyā sā bhavi ṣyati | dampatī ṣoḍaśaivātra paridhāpya prayatnataḥ
Gaurī (Pārvatī)
Tirtha: Varadā-Devī at Prabhāsa (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Women devotees/pilgrims (implied)
Scene: A woman beholds Devī Varadā and then arranges a ceremonial gifting of garments to sixteen couples in the kṣetra precinct—rows of couples receiving folded cloth, priests witnessing, lamps lit.
Darśana and dāna together transform the devotee—inner devotion is completed by outward generosity and care for householders.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where seeing Varadā Gaurī and performing prescribed charity is said to yield special merit.
Vastra-dāna: arranging clothing for sixteen couples (dampatī ṣoḍaśa) with sincere effort.
