Śiva (in dialogue with Devī/Pārvatī)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-jala (sea/river-lord invoked)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Pārvatī
Scene: Pārvatī is addressed as the speaker/recipient of instruction; a sage-like figure recites a cosmological formula at the water’s edge while Agni’s glow, Śiva’s benign aspect, and Viṣṇu’s navel-of-amṛta symbolism appear as layered iconographic visions above the waters.
Purification through truthful mantra-like remembrance and then sacred immersion (snāna) in the tīrtha.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra’s sacred waters, approached as the ‘lord of rivers’ within the Prabhāsa Māhātmya context.
Recite the stated truth-formula and then perform immersion/bathing in the sacred waters.
