ye kurvaṃti narā yātrāṃ śuciśraddhāsamanvitāḥ | kalau yuge kṛtārthāste ye tvanye te nirarthakāḥ
Skanda (deduced from continuity of exhortation in Adhyāya 28)
Tirtha: Someśvara-yātrā (Prabhāsa)
Type: kshetra
Listener: General pilgrims (‘narāḥ’); within the larger Devī-addressed discourse
Scene: At the temple threshold, pure and faithful pilgrims receive blessings; a contrasting group stands distracted and purposeless outside the sacred boundary; the fulfilled pilgrims are shown with radiant halos and calm faces.
Pilgrimage is not merely travel; when done with purity and faith, it becomes the hallmark of a meaningful life in Kali-yuga.
The surrounding Prabhāsakṣetra context indicates the Prabhāsa tīrthas and Someśvara as the intended sacred destination.
Undertake yātrā with śuci (inner/outer cleanliness) and śraddhā (devotional trust).
