adyaprabhṛti nivṛttaḥ karmaṇo'syāhameva ca | raudrasya sunṛśaṃsasya sādhubhirgarhitasya ca | tasmātkathayatāsmākaṃ nivṛttiṃ cāsya karmaṇaḥ
The repentant man
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: The speaker, now resolute, gestures as if cutting off a former path; sages listen gravely; the sea and tīrtha landscape witness a vow of cessation.
True repentance includes a firm decision to stop harmful acts and seek instruction for lasting change.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, portrayed as a place where one turns away from pāpa through sage-guidance.
Not yet; the verse requests a method for nivṛtti, which leads into later prescriptions (japa/vrata).
