tena dṛṣṭaṃ varārohe jyotirliṃgaṃ mahāprabham | somavāravrataṃ divyaṃ yena cīrṇaṃ tu saṃśraye
Unnamed narrator addressing a देवी-like interlocutor (speaker not explicit in this verse)
Tirtha: Somnātha (Prabhāsa)
Type: kshetra
Listener: A addressed female interlocutor (varārohe/sundarī/devī across the passage)
Scene: A devotee stands before a radiant Jyotirliṅga, the sanctum glowing; Monday-vrata symbols—crescent moon, bilva leaves, water-pot—frame the scene as a vow fulfilled.
Śiva is approached through both darśana (vision of the liṅga) and disciplined vrata; devotion becomes complete when worship is joined to observance.
A Jyotirliṅga is praised; within this Prabhāsa-context it supports the sacred landscape where Śiva’s radiance is directly encountered.
Somavāravrata—religious observance performed on Mondays in devotion to Śiva.
