tasyānyathā vacaḥ kartuṃ śakyaṃ nānyaiḥ surairapi | brāhmaṇāḥ kupitā hanyurbhasmīkuryuḥ svatejasā
Skanda (deduced from Prabhāsakṣetra-māhātmya narrative style within Skanda Purāṇa)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa
Type: kshetra
Listener: Soma (immediate addressee in surrounding verses)
Scene: A circle of brāhmaṇas with blazing inner radiance stands immovable; even celestial beings appear hesitant. A symbolic figure is reduced to ash by a surge of tejas, illustrating the warning.
Sacred speech and brāhmaṇa-tejas are portrayed as inviolable; disrespect invites grave spiritual consequence.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra (Prabhāsakṣetra), presented as a field where dharma and the dignity of Brāhmaṇas are especially emphasized.
No direct ritual is prescribed here; the verse teaches restraint and reverence toward Brāhmaṇas.
