Śiva (Maheśvara)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (Somnātha)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A grand consecration: Brahmā arrives with sages; a sacrificial pavilion (yajña-śālā) blazes with sacred fire; priests perform mantras as the liṅga is formally consecrated.
Dharma is upheld when divine worship is institutionalized through proper rites guided by Brahmā and the sages.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, as a place fit for great sacrifices and liṅga consecration.
Pratiṣṭhā (consecration/installation) of the liṅga, accompanied by mahāmakhas (major sacrificial rites).
