हिरण्यदानं दत्त्वा वै सम्यग्यात्राफलं लभेत्
hiraṇyadānaṃ dattvā vai samyagyātrāphalaṃ labhet
حقًّا، بتقديم صدقة الذهب ينال المرء الثمرة الكاملة والصحيحة للحجّ التعبّدي.
Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-yātrā (Pulaheśvara context)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī (Pārvatī)
Scene: A pilgrim couple, having worshipped a liṅga, offers a small gold coin/ornament into a brāhmaṇa’s hands near the shrine; the sea and temple flag flutter; the act is shown as the ‘seal’ of the journey’s merit.
Pilgrimage is perfected by generosity: dāna seals and completes the spiritual merit of yātrā.
The instruction appears within the Pulaheśvara Māhātmya sequence in Prabhāsa Kṣetra.
Hiraṇya-dāna—donation of gold—to gain samyak (complete) yātrā-phala.
