दिवसस्याष्टमे भागे मन्दीभूते दिवाकरे । आसुरं तद्भवेच्छ्राद्धं पितृणां नोपतिष्ठते
divasasyāṣṭame bhāge mandībhūte divākare | āsuraṃ tadbhavecchrāddhaṃ pitṛṇāṃ nopatiṣṭhate
إذا أُقيمت شرادها حين يبلغ النهار جزأه الثامن ويضعف قرص الشمس، فإن تلك الشرادها تصير ذات طبيعة «آسورية»، ولا تصل إلى البِتْرِ (أرواح الأسلاف).
