पुत्रि प्रदानकालस्ते न हि कश्चिद्वृणोति माम् । विचारयन्न पश्यामि वरं तुल्यमिहात्मनः
putri pradānakālaste na hi kaścidvṛṇoti mām | vicārayanna paśyāmi varaṃ tulyamihātmanaḥ
«يا ابنتي، لقد حان وقت تزويجك، غير أنّ أحدًا لا يطلب مصاهرتي. ومع كثرة تفكّري لا أرى هنا عريسًا مكافئًا في القدر.»
