yastāṃ pūjayate bhaktyā sa saubhāgyamavāpnuyāt | anyajanmani deveśi nātra kāryā vicāraṇā
Śiva (Īśvara)
Tirtha: Gaurī (Saubhāgya-dāyinī)
Type: temple
Listener: Devēśī/Mahādevī
Scene: Devotees—especially couples and women seeking auspiciousness—offer flowers and lamps to Gaurī; Devī’s compassionate gaze; a subtle motif of rebirth (a turning wheel or successive life scenes) indicates ‘anyajanmani’ fruit.
Devotional worship of the Goddess is affirmed as a lasting merit (puṇya) that can bear fruit even across lifetimes.
Saubhāgyeśvarī/Gaurī shrine-area in Prabhāsa Kṣetra.
Bhakti-yukta pūjā (devotional worship) of the Goddess; the promised result is saubhāgya.
