pratipadbrāhmaṇāṃścāpi bhojayedvi dhivatsudhīḥ | vāsobhirahataiścāpi gandhamālyānulepanaiḥ

في يوم براتيباد (Pratipad)، على الحكيم أن يُطعم البراهمة وفق القاعدة المقرّرة، وأن يُكرمهم بملابس جديدة غير مستعملة، وبالعطور والأكاليل والمراهم الطيبة.
