Śiva (addressing Devī)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī (addressed as ‘devi’)
Scene: A sacred storyteller concludes one wondrous account and turns to begin another; the Goddess listens attentively in a serene, luminous setting suggestive of a tīrtha-āśrama near the sea of Prabhāsa.
Purāṇic teaching is structured as progressive revelation—one merit-bearing account leads the listener toward deeper dharma.
The verse closes the Prabhāsa-related account and signals continuation; Prabhāsa-kṣetra remains the narrative setting.
No explicit rite; it emphasizes the puṇya (merit) inherent in hearing and transmitting such accounts.
