tacchutvā mahiṣo rājankāmabāṇaprapīḍitaḥ | senāpatiṃ samāhūya vākyametaduvāca ha

فلما سمع ذلك، أيها الملك، كان ماهيṣa مطعونًا ومعذَّبًا بسهام الشهوة، فاستدعى قائد جيشه وقال هذه الكلمات.
