ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | evaṃ bhavatu te khyātistīrthaliṃge varānane | tava nāmānvitaṃ jātaṃ tīrthaṃ vai maṇikarṇikā
Ṛṣis (sages)
Tirtha: Maṇikarṇikā-tīrtha (Arbuda)
Type: ghat
Listener: Śaunaka et al. (frame implied)
Scene: Sages pronounce the boon with raised hands; a subtle radiance spreads from the liṅga to the water, signifying the birth of the named tīrtha; the word ‘Maṇikarṇikā’ appears as a sacred inscription motif.
Sacred places endure as living memorials of dharma, sustained by the blessings of sages.
Maṇikarṇikā tīrtha (in the Arbuda-khaṇḍa setting) and its associated tīrtha-liṅga.
No explicit prescription; it formally declares the tīrtha’s name and renown.
