Sūta
Type: kshetra
Listener: dvijoत्तamāḥ (addressed audience: best of twice-born)
Scene: A devotee presents a neatly arranged bed with folded garments, bowls of rice and fruits, and a small gold offering to a seated priest near a tīrtha pavilion; attendants witness the sankalpa.
Dāna performed with completeness—supporting comfort, sustenance, and honorarium—ripens into commensurate punya.
This verse is focused on dāna-vidhi and its fruit; it does not specify a particular tīrtha.
Perform śayyā-dāna (bed donation) with fruits, rice, garments, and give gold as dakṣiṇā to conclude the rite.
