न च त्याज्यं समुच्छिष्टं तेन भुंजामहे ततः । तदत्र कारणेनैव गुरुणा भाव्यमेव हि । येन त्वं यच्छसि प्राय एतत्सिद्धिर्भवेत्स्थिता

na ca tyājyaṃ samucchiṣṭaṃ tena bhuṃjāmahe tataḥ | tadatra kāraṇenaiva guruṇā bhāvyameva hi | yena tvaṃ yacchasi prāya etatsiddhirbhavetsthitā

ولا يجوز أيضًا أن يُطرَح على أنه «بقايا»، لذلك نأكله. غير أنّه لا بدّ هنا من سببٍ جليلٍ ثقيل—وبه اعتدتَ أن تُقَدِّم هذا—لكي يبلغ هذا الطقسُ المقصودُ تمامَ تحقّقه وتمامَ ثمرته.
