ثم إن حلقه جفّ من الجوع واشتدّ عليه الإعياء، فجلس أمام المعبود. عندئذٍ أجرى الجَپا (japa) وسبّح سُوريا بأناشيد محبوبة لدى الشمس.

Type: kshetra
Scene: A weary ascetic/brāhmaṇa with parched throat sits on the ground directly before a radiant deity-presence, hands in japa-mudrā, softly chanting Sūrya-beloved hymns; the atmosphere is austere yet luminous.
Austerity and fatigue are transformed into worship when anchored in japa and heartfelt praise before the deity.
The scene continues at Camatkārapura before the Yājñavalkya-established Sūrya (Ravi).
Sit before the deity and perform japa along with Sūrya-pleasing stotras/hymns, following the earlier snāna and pradakṣiṇā.
