अथ तां स समालोक्य स्वां सुतां यौवनान्विताम् । हर्षेण महता युक्तां कांतयुक्तां विशेषतः । अब्रवीदद्य मे पुत्रि संजातं तपसः फलम्
atha tāṃ sa samālokya svāṃ sutāṃ yauvanānvitām | harṣeṇa mahatā yuktāṃ kāṃtayuktāṃ viśeṣataḥ | abravīdadya me putri saṃjātaṃ tapasaḥ phalam
ثمّ لمّا رآها—ابنته وقد اكتملت فتوتها، مغمورةً بفرحٍ عظيم، متألّقةً بالجمال على وجه الخصوص—قال: «اليوم يا ابنتي قد ظهر ثمرُ تَقَشُّفي وزهدي.»
