कद्रु त्वया जितं भद्रे यत उच्चैःश्रवा हयः । चंद्ररश्मिप्रभोप्येष कल्माष इव भासते
kadru tvayā jitaṃ bhadre yata uccaiḥśravā hayaḥ | caṃdraraśmiprabhopyeṣa kalmāṣa iva bhāsate
«يا كَدْرُو، لقد غلبتِ يا عزيزة، إذ إنّ الفرس أُتْشَيْحْشْرَفَا هو حقًّا لكِ. ومع أنّ له بهاء أشعّة القمر، فإنه يبدو كأنّ لونه مُرَقَّطٌ مُعَتَّم.»
