ब्रह्मदो ब्रह्मलोकेज्यो ब्रह्मदः सर्वदो मतः । उपायेनापि यो ब्रह्म दापयेत्सोपि तत्समः
brahmado brahmalokejyo brahmadaḥ sarvado mataḥ | upāyenāpi yo brahma dāpayetsopi tatsamaḥ
مَن يمنحُ معرفةَ البراهمن (الحكمةَ المقدّسة) يُكرَّم في عالمِ براهما؛ حقًّا إنّ مَن يهبُ للبراهمن يُعَدّ واهبَ كلّ شيء. وحتى مَن، بأيّ وسيلة، يُسبّب أن تُقدَّم الهبةُ للبراهمن، فهو أيضًا مساوٍ لذلك الواهب.

Scene: In a Kāśī maṭha or ghāṭ-side pāṭhaśālā, a guru teaches from palm-leaf manuscripts; a patron offers support; another person arranges the donation, symbolizing ‘causing Brahman to be given’; above, a subtle Brahmaloka imagery with lotus and four-faced Brahmā.
Sharing sacred knowledge is the highest charity; enabling it—even indirectly—shares the same merit.
The teaching occurs in the Kāśīkhaṇḍa’s Avimukta/Kāśī context, where liberation-oriented dharma is emphasized.
Brahma-dāna—donation/propagation of Vedic or spiritual teaching; also praising those who facilitate such gifting.
