pradeśinī bhavedyasyā aṃguṣṭhāvyatirekiṇī | kanyaiva kulaṭā sā syādeṣa eva viniścayaḥ
إذا كان إصبع القدم الثاني عند المرأة أطول من الإبهام سُمّيت «براديشيني». وحتى إن كانت عذراء تُعَدّ غير عفيفة؛ فهذا هو الحكم المقرَّر.
Skanda
Tirtha: Kāśī-kṣetra (general context)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A close-up of feet showing the index toe extending beyond the big toe; a caption-like label ‘Pradeśinī’; a moralizing backdrop of a household threshold and a distant Kāśī shrine.
It reflects a traditional omen-based moral reading of bodily signs, ultimately pointing to the Purāṇic concern for ethical conduct and self-restraint.
Kāśī is the larger sacred frame of the Kāśīkhaṇḍa, though this verse is not directly describing a tīrtha.
