अन्धक उवाच । यदि तुष्टोऽसि देवेश यदि देयो वरो मम । तदात्मसदृशोऽहं ते कर्तव्यो नापरो वरः
andhaka uvāca | yadi tuṣṭo'si deveśa yadi deyo varo mama | tadātmasadṛśo'haṃ te kartavyo nāparo varaḥ
قال أندهاكا: «إن كنتَ راضياً يا ربَّ الآلهة، وإن كان لي أن أُمنَحَ نعمةً، فاجعلني على مثال طبيعتك أنت؛ فلا أبتغي نعمةً سواها»
