निष्पन्दनयना मर्त्याश्चित्रेष्वालिखिता इव । देवायतनगा देवा रटन्ति प्रहसन्ति च । स्वप्ने पश्यन्ति चात्मानं रक्ताम्बरविभूषितम्
niṣpandanayanā martyāścitreṣvālikhitā iva | devāyatanagā devā raṭanti prahasanti ca | svapne paśyanti cātmānaṃ raktāmbaravibhūṣitam
كان البشر يحدّقون بلا رمش، كأنهم صورٌ مرسومة. وحتى الآلهة في المعابد كانت تصرخ وتضحك ضحكًا غريبًا؛ وفي المنام كان الناس يرون أنفسهم متزيّنين بثيابٍ حمراء.
