सर्वसत्त्वोपकाराय बृहते पुण्यलक्षणा । रेवानदी तु विख्याता न मृता तेन नर्मदा
sarvasattvopakārāya bṛhate puṇyalakṣaṇā | revānadī tu vikhyātā na mṛtā tena narmadā
موسومةٌ بالقداسة، عظيمةُ النفع لخير جميع الكائنات، هذا النهر مشهورٌ باسم ريفَا. وهي «غير ميتة»، فلذلك تُدعى نَرْمَدَا.
