nadī vaitaraṇī dṛṣṭā sarvapāpapraṇāśinī | śītalaṃ salilaṃ yatra pibanti hyamṛtopamam

ورأوا نهر «فيتارَني» (Vaitaraṇī)، مُبيدَ جميع الآثام؛ فماؤه هناك باردٌ لطيف، ويشربه الناس كأنه «أمرتَه» (amṛta)، رحيق الخلود.
