विधिहीनो जपेन्नित्यं वेदान्सर्वाञ्छतं समाः । मृत्युलाङ्गलजाप्येन समो योऽप्यधिको गुणैः
vidhihīno japennityaṃ vedānsarvāñchataṃ samāḥ | mṛtyulāṅgalajāpyena samo yo'pyadhiko guṇaiḥ
ولو أن إنسانًا، وهو خالٍ من تمام آداب الطقس، يداوم على تلاوة جميع الفيدات كلَّ يومٍ مئةَ سنة، لما كان ثوابه إلا مساويًا —بل لعلّه دون— ما يناله من جَپَا (ترديدٍ تعبّدي) لمانترا «مِرتيو-لانغالا»؛ فإن تلك الجَپَا أسمى فضلًا وأرفع منزلة.
