Suta Goswami (narrating the Vāyavīyasaṃhitā teachings to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
It highlights the pain of worldly bondage (pāśa) created by social reduction and false attribution, implicitly pointing to Shiva (Pati) as the only stable ground of truth and dignity beyond such mischaracterization.
Linga-worship centers the devotee in Shiva as the impartial inner witness; by taking refuge in Saguna Shiva through devotion and discipline, one transcends worldly labels and sees all beings through dharma and inner purity.
Practice japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and a dharma-based vow of truthful speech and non-injury, cultivating Shiva’s witness-consciousness in daily relationships.
