The verse teaches the Shaiva principle that worship directed rightly (as instructed in the rite) becomes all-inclusive—by honoring the central focus of worship, one gains the fruit of honoring all divine powers, because all are integrated in Śiva’s supreme reality (Pati).
It explicitly recommends establishing a clay liṅga, a saguna, worship-accessible form through which devotees approach the nirguna-tattva of Śiva. The liṅga functions as the sanctioned icon for concentrated devotion and ritual purity.
Perform worship according to vidhi: prepare a mṛdā-liṅga (clay liṅga), establish it ceremonially, and proceed with regulated pūjā—ideally accompanied by Śiva-mantra japa (such as the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as part of focused devotion.
