प्र नव्यसा सहसः सूनुमच्छा यज्ञेन गातुमव इच्छमानः । वृश्चद्वनं कृष्णयामं रुशन्तं वीती होतारं दिव्यं जिगाति ॥

pra navyasā sahasaḥ sūnum acchā yajñena gātum ava icchamānaḥ | vṛścad-vanam kṛṣṇayāmam ruśantaṃ vītī hotāraṃ divyaṃ jigāti ||

بِقُرْبَانٍ أَحْدَثَ يَتَقَدَّمُ نَحْوَ ابْنِ القُوَّةِ (Sahasaḥ Sūnu)، طَالِبًا بِاليَجْنَا (yajña) السَّبِيلَ وَالعَوْنَ. وَيَبْلُغُ الهُوتَرَ الإِلٰهِيَّ لِلاِسْتِقْبَالِ (vīti): مُتَلَأْلِئًا، يَشُقُّ الغَابَةَ، وَيَسِيرُ فِي سَوَادِ اللَّيْلِ.
