kuvín mā gopā́ṃ karase jánasya kuvíd rājā́nam maghavann ṛjīṣin | kuvín ma ṛ́ṣiṃ papivā́ṃsaṃ sutásya kuvín me vásvo amṛ́tasya śíkṣāḥ ||

أفَتُراك حقًّا تجعلني حاميًا للشعوب—أفَتُراك حقًّا تكون لي ملكًا، يا مَغَفان، يا صاحب القوّة المنطلقة في استقامة؟ أفَتُراك حقًّا تجعلني رِشيًّا (ṛṣi)، شاربًا من السُّوما المعصور؛ أفَتُراك حقًّا تُعلّمني ثرواتِ الخالد (أَمْرِتا Amṛta)؟
