सुन्वन्ति सोमं रथिरासो अद्रयो निरस्य रसं गविषो दुहन्ति ते । दुहन्त्यूधरुपसेचनाय कं नरो हव्या न मर्जयन्त आसभिः ॥

sunvánti sómaṃ rathirā́so ádrayo nír asya rásaṃ gavíṣo duhanti té | duhánty ū́dhar upa-sécanāya káṃ naro havyā́ ná marjayanta ā́sabhiḥ ||

أحجارُ العصر (adri)، السريعةُ الحركة، تعصرُ السُّوما (Soma)؛ تستخرجُ عصارتَه، وباحثةً عن القطعانِ المضيئة، تحلبُه. تحلبُ الضرعَ لأجل السكب؛ والرجالُ الأقوياءُ يُجلون القرابينَ كأنما بأفواههم—فيجعلون القُربانَ صالحًا للآلهة في الداخل.
