जनिष्ठा उग्रः सहसे तुराय मन्द्र ओजिष्ठो बहुलाभिमानः । अवर्धन्निन्द्रं मरुतश्चिदत्र माता यद्वीरं दधनद्धनिष्ठा ॥

jániṣṭhā ugráḥ sáhase turā́ya mandró ójiṣṭho bahulā́bhimānaḥ | ávardhann índraṃ marútaś cid átra mātā́ yád vīráṃ dádhanad dhániṣṭhā ||

وُلِدَ—ذلك الجبّار—لقوّةٍ سريعةٍ قاهرة؛ مُنْشَدًّا في بهجةِ السّطوة، أشدَّ بأسًا، واثقًا باتّساعٍ كثير. بل إنّ الماروتَ أيضًا زادوا إندرا هنا، حين أقامتِ الأُمُّ البطلَ في موضعه، مُثَبِّتةً كنزَ القوّة في الكيان.
