Rama, best among men, got the entire wealth distributed among indigent brahmins, and young and old alike with the help of Lakshmana.
Dharma is compassionate redistribution: giving priority to the vulnerable (poor, children, elderly) and to respected spiritual recipients (brāhmaṇas).
Rāma arranges the distribution of his assembled treasure before leaving, assisted by Lakṣmaṇa.
Rāma’s generosity and detachment, and Lakṣmaṇa’s supportive service in righteous action.
