अब्भक्षा वायुभक्षाश्च दंतोलूखलिनस्तथा । अश्मकुट्टादयो यत्र पंचाग्नितपसश्च ये

abbhakṣā vāyubhakṣāśca daṃtolūkhalinastathā | aśmakuṭṭādayo yatra paṃcāgnitapasaśca ye

ومن الزهّاد من يقتات بالماء وحده، ومنهم من يقتات بالهواء؛ وكذلك من يجعل أسنانه كالمِهراس في شدّة الزهد، ومن يدقّ طعامه على الحجر؛ ومنهم من يقوم بتقشّف «الخمسة نيران».
