في غابة الزهد والتقشّف كان ناسكٌ واحد يُدعى ساتييكا، قد رُبّي وحُفظ بعناية؛ عارفًا بحقائق الفيدا وملحقاتها (فيدأنغا)، وبلغ الغاية في دهنورفيدا، علم الرمي بالقوس.
