Narada (instructing the sages/brāhmaṇa interlocutor in ritual procedure)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes disciplined yajña-practice: the devotee aligns intention, mantra, and exact oblation-count (eight offerings) to invoke specific divine powers—here Garuḍa (Vainateya) and Vedic deities praised through Soma and solar hymns.
Bhakti here is expressed as reverent, rule-guided worship: offerings made with “svāhā” and Vedic mantras become a devotional act that honors divine attendants and cosmic principles supporting dharma.
It highlights ritual precision (Kalpa/Vedāṅga): correct sequencing of homa, fixed number of āhutis, and use of specific ṛk-mantras (“Somo dhenuḥ,” “Udutyaṃ”) with svāhā in fire-offering.
